A Party For Women

Friday?night is an entire night devoted to the ladies: LA PRIDE’s?FREE ADMISSION?PURPLE Celebration, a PARTY for women. The event officially kicks off the LA PRIDE weekend of events. ?With performances on the Main Stage featuring headliners?Luciana?and ?Uh Huh Her?along with DJ’s spinning throughout the night, the night celebrates the Lesbian culture.?Friday?night’s annual?WeHo Dyke March?takes place this evening; an event in which thousands of women gather and rally together in solidarity.

LA PRIDE is bringing attendees some of the hottest and freshest live performances from artists both headliners and local acts alike.

Saturday will be a night you do not want to miss this year at LA PRIDE. Alternative Hip-Hop act, Chiddy Bang, make their Pride debut and open the night. ?Get ready for Pop-princess Ciara as she closes the Main Stage for the evening. With hits like “Goodies,” “Ride It,” and “Like A Boy,” ?Other acts include: DJ Tony G, DJ James Cerne, DJ Dirty Rich Kid, CHEER LA, DJ Morningstar, Countre Black, K Rose, DJ Blacklow, Nylon Pink, DJ Aaron Elvis and DJ Pornstar.

Sunday is equally as electric ?featuring an eclectic mix of live performances with headliners The Pointer Sisters, KERLI and DJ Hector Fonseca, Kat Deluna and OV7?with special last minute addition Judith Hill. ?Supported with some amazing talent: ?DJ Konrad Parker, Shoshana Bean & Jake Simpson, Connie Loves Juice, DJ Derek Monteiro, HI Fashion, Mike Munich and DJ George Figares, the entertainment this year is going to rock the park.

#IMAGINE Lounge will be the social Mecca within West Hollywood park. By day, the lounge offers guests an outdoor social and lounging scene featuring cabanas, misters, and multiple bars with an eye-catching mega-bar in the center of the Lounge. While the daytime offers fun in the sun, by night, #IMAGINE Lounge turns into an outdoor club and will feature live entertainment including aerialists and fire breathers as just part of the fun and eclectic assortment of entertainment scheduled throughout the weekend.


Queer Art Helmed By Install:WeHo
Saturday & Sunday @ LA PRIDE Festival

As part of it’s dedication to preserving queer arts and culture in the Los Angeles area, Christopher Street West will be hosting?Momentum?within the celebration grounds of Pride 2013. In an exhibition of large-scale light and interactive installations,?Momentum?will examine our queer heritage in tandem with the socio-political viewpoints of contemporary artists. With the joint participation of ONE National Gay and Lesbian Archives, Impact Stories, The Mazer Lesbian Archives, The Lavender Effect, The Colors of Compassion and curated by queer art non-profit INSTALL:WeHo, history intersects in the heart of the Gay Pride 2013.? Momentum will be located in the Library Parking Garage in the south portion of the LA PRIDE festival.

A Sober Oasis
Saturday & Sunday @ LA PRIDE Festival

A drug and alcohol free sober oasis-is a place where guests are encouraged to hang out and relax away from any outside influences. Bill’s Caf? provides guest with an outlet to enjoy the festival in a pure and organic way. Drag performances are to take place within the Bill’s Caf? area as well as the “No T, No Shade” Dance Party, hosted by CMALA and with music by DJ T. Rey. This drug and alcohol free zone is an interesting and relaxing experience designed to keep visitors engaged in their own recovery (or those of their loved ones) while still being able to enjoy all that LA PRIDE has to offer.

The latest addition to this year’s Erotic City ?features an amazing array of art exhibits and entertainment within the ?18 and over area. Hellraiser creator Clive Barker will be showcasing some of his works of never-before-seen art and artists from the Tom of Finland foundation and the Jay Lawton Project 50 Photo Collection will be showing and making art. ?The exhibit provides an exciting atmosphere for curious onlookers as well as experts alike. ?Erotic City ?provides a place where people can explore their erotic fantasies and explore their curiosities. ?Erotic City ?is a place where being overwhelmed is a good thing, where the taboo is commonplace and where the atmosphere is sensual and interesting in experience.




One of the most visible elements of LA PRIDE is the iconic Parade. ?Closing down busy Santa Monica Blvd. in West Hollywood, this year’s Parade features the usual colorful array of floats but will also showcase several new additions including an 800 person human rainbow flag, the LA All City Marching band, bag pipes by Pasadena Scots and an assortment of celebrities from this year’s Grand Marshal Maria Menounos to Super Bowl Champ Brendon Ayanbadejo, Community Honorees, community members and businesses, reality stars and so much more. ?
