Academy and Grammy Award winning actress and singer Jennifer Hudson rules the LA PRIDE / Delta Air Lines main stage Saturday night with a dynamic, energy filled performance set to “wow” PRIDE-goers! Hudson, who recently performed at the MTV Video Music Awards with fellow Pride performer Mary Lambert, has also toured the globe and performed for millions at such events as the Super Bowl, The Academy Awards, BET Honors, the Kennedy Center Honors and for President Barack Obama on numerous occasions. With hit songs like “Spotlight” and films such as “Dreamgirls,” “Sex and the City,” and “Winnie Mandela”, Hudson makes her LA PRIDE debut including tracks from her upcoming third album, which is scheduled for release later this summer. Her most recent single, “Walk It Out” featuring Timbaland, is out now.
Also on Saturday night Hip-hop bad girl Azealia Banks takes center stage with her blend of power club beats and hard hitting rap lyrics. The New York native, with club hits likes “212” and “Liquorice” has long been a staple to the TLGB community and has sold out concert venues throughout the globe. The aggressive rapper, who is bisexual, is one of the most noteworthy females in rap music and has done so with a “take no prisoners” attitude to match! You won’t want to miss it!
Sunday is looking as equally energetic featuring an eclectic mix of local performers and a soon-to-be-announced Sunday headliner. Music legends The Bangles take over Sunday night’s main stage to perform some of their global hits, which include “Walk Like An Egyptian,” “Manic Monday,” and “Eternal Flame.” The female-driven rock band (who hails from Los Angeles) has had a career spanning over three decades and has sold millions of records worldwide.
