EP tracks ?Manufactured Love? and ?Colors? have already garnered major acclaim from the likes of Pigeons & Planes, Earmilk, Hilly Dilly andOkayPlayer. From the rousing hip-hop inspired verses in ?Relationships,? to the velvety crooning of ?High Frequency,? to the very personal ?How High? which reflects on Blume?s experience growing up as a gay man, and the self-aware, upbeat ?The Same,? When I Get It Right captures intense emotion while still radiating the same undeniable energy seen in his live performance. Selling out multiple shows in New York City, Blume is on his way to a massive career.
An alumni of Yale University, he originally planned on pursuing a life of academia until his last year of school, when he joined a prestigious on-campus a capella group that toured the world, performing in 35 countries. He found touring was a marriage of two of his favorite things: travel and music, and thus made music his full-time career. Pulling from his academic background, Blume crafts intelligent lyrics that explore his passion for civil rights, particularly racial equality and LGBTQ rights.
