Adding to the rapidly growing list of not-to-be-missed live musical performances,?MTV?today announced that superstar rock band,?Maroon 5, will make their debut VMA performance during the?2014 “MTV Video Music Awards” LIVE?from The Forum in Inglewood, CA on?Sunday,?August 24?at?9:00 p.m.?ET/PT.?Maroon 5?joins previously announced 2014 “MTV Video Music Award” performers?Usher,?Ariana Grande?and?5 Seconds of Summer.? “We are so excited about our upcoming new album and to be part of the great VMA lineup this year. It is our first time doing the show and we are thrilled to be on it performing our new single,” said?Adam Levine.

Surrounded by thousands of fans,?Maroon 5?will thrill viewers from a special VMA stage, presented by the Kia Soul, with a live rendition of a single off their upcoming fifth studio album, V. On September 2, 2014, Interscope Records will release V ? the new album by Maroon 5. True to its title, V represents the fifth full-length studio effort from the Grammy Award winning superstar band. Considering that career benchmark, Maroon 5’s latest provides a sonic summation of the group’s journey to date ? capturing the essence of the earliest M5 hits through to their most recent successes, as well as providing a picture of its artistic growth into the future.

Capturing their first of three Grammy Awards as “Best New Artist” of 2005 and going on to sell more than 17 million albums worldwide, Maroon 5’s releases have gone gold and platinum in over 35 countries.
