Singer-songwriter Eli Lieb releases ‘Lightning In A Bottle’ video

Eli Lieb

Produced by Hit-Making Producer John Feldmann of 5 Seconds of Summer

LOS ANGELES, CA (November 19, 2014) ? Singer-songwriter Eli Lieb has released his newest single, ?Lightning in a Bottle.? Produced by John Feldmann of 5 Seconds of Summer and Panic! At The Disco, ?Lightning in a Bottle? is a reflection of Lieb?s empowering and emotional songwriting, and is being released independently. The inspiring pop track follows Lieb?s catchy, hit single, ?Young Love,? and ?Safe In My Hands,? a song performed and co-written by Lieb.

?Everyone is fighting a battle,? says Lieb. ?I want people to see the music video, hear the song, really listen to the lyrics, and live their truth. I want this to inspire people to not be afraid to break free and embrace who they are.?

An all across-the-board song, ?Lightning in a Bottle? is about self-acceptance, celebrating who you are and not holding back. The song?s music video features Lieb and a diverse cast of characters, including Shangela from RuPaul?s Drag Race, and professional dancers Jenna Riegel (Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company) and Caitlin Scranton (The Lucinda Dance Company).

?Eli is an unbelievably talented guy,? says Feldmann. ?I love the songs that we wrote together, and I?m really, really proud of the video that we did for ?Lightning in a Bottle.? I just think it?s fantastic. You know, life can be a struggle. This song is a real beacon of hope for a lot of people, and I?m honored to be a part of it.?

Lieb has come a long way since covering popular hit songs including, Miley Cyrus’ “Wrecking Ball,” Adele’s “Skyfall,” Lana Del Rey’s “Young and Beautiful” (which was broadcast during the 2014 Grammys) and Justin Timberlake’s “Mirrors.? Lieb?s music has gained recognition not only in the YouTube space, but has become a popular and familiar face to a wider audience and has garnered the attention of celebrities including Adam Lambert, Lucy Hale, and Rosie O’Donnell.

In just under five years, Lieb has generated 23 million views and cemented a marketing relationship with Allstate Insurance. Lieb teamed up with the company and wrote original song, ?Safe In My Hands.? The song was accompanied by a short animated video, to promote the advertising campaign that encouraged people to share photos and videos from LGBT Pride Month with the hashtag #OutHoldingHands. The campaign was a spin to Allstate?s ?You?re In Good Hands? promise.

Later this year, Lieb will release his second album, a compilation of his hit singles and unreleased tracks, some of which he worked on with Feldmann.

Eli Lieb is an American pop singer and songwriter. Hailing from Fairfield, Iowa, Eli began his musical journey in New York City where he started working on his songwriting and performing. He released a debut solo album in 2011 and was soon featured in US Weekly, Out and other national publications.

Upon the death of his father in 2012, Eli took a professional sabbatical and returned to Iowa. During this time of reflection and regrouping, Eli began recording covers of songs that were popular and meaningful to him to release on YouTube. These videos soon picked up a natural and organic following.

With a growing fan base, Eli once again turned his focus on his own songwriting. In 2013, Eli decided to go to Los Angeles for a few weeks to work with other writers and further his career. A two-week trip then became a relocation.

Since Eli?s arrival in Los Angeles in 2013, he has collaborated with artists including Adam Lambert, Cheyenne Jackson and Crystal Bowersox. He was even featured in the 2014 Grammy Awards during the presentation of nominees for Best Pop Vocal Album.

In July of 2013, Eli released his original song ?Young Love.? Music blog Idolator called it ?an instantly catchy, uplifting pop/rock anthem that sounds like a cross between Katy Perry and Bruce Springsteen.?

The song?s theme was a bit of an autobiographical story of a young man coming out. The song and the video struck a chord with many people, thanks to both its instantly catchy pop hook and the message of being proud of who you are. Within a year, Eli?s ?Young Love? garnered over two million YouTube views.

In October of 2013, Eli was inspired to record a cover of ?Wrecking Ball? after hearing it only once. He recorded an acoustic version with just his voice and a lap dulcimer. Within two hours of posting it online, it went viral and was promoted in social media by singers Lambert and Lucy Hale, and celebrities Rosie O?Donnell and Bob Harper. Eli once again received immediate press support, appearing on CBS OMG Insider twice, What?s Trending and other shows. Eli?s cover of ?Wrecking Ball? reached one million views in under a week. And in less than a year, the video has been viewed over three million times.

Thanks to his growing popularity, Eli was approached by the Leo Burnett advertising agency to write an original song for Allstate Insurance?s #OutHoldingHands campaign. Eli wrote a song called ?Safe in My Hands? that accompanies an animated short film of the same name that was released in June 2014. The song and a dance remix are both available on allstate.com/lgbt. The feeling and message of the song got the attention of the producers of ABC Family?s, The Fosters, where it was featured as the closing song for the second season finale.

Eli has been working on a full-length album with producer John Feldmann (5 Seconds of Summer) and on July 15, 2014, released a new song that was a collaboration between them and writer Simon Wilcox called ?Zeppelin.? Eli?s second release with Feldmann, titled ?Lightning in a Bottle,? is due out later this summer.

With over 22 Million YouTube views, and verified status with both Facebook and Twitter, his personal interaction and presence as an independent artist is one that keeps him moving forward.

Eli is a lifelong practitioner of transcendental meditation, which he credits with giving him a sense of awareness and spirituality that has helped keep him grounded while creating honest music. He?s worked with the David Lynch Foundation to promote the transcendental meditation movement.
