Pam Ann, the internationally beloved airhostess to the stars, announced this week that she is going mobile with her very own iPhone travel app, The Pam Ann City Guides. Developed by Pam Ann and Spafax Interactive, the first three guides focus on the cities of London, Sydney and New York. Avoiding territory covered by other city guides, The Pam Ann City Guides whisk travelers off the beaten path and into the hidden enclaves of the trendsetting ultra fab. These are the places other travel apps don’t even know about. Fasten your seatbelts, stow your designer hand luggage and prepare to experience London, Sydney and New York like never before. The Pam Ann City Guides are ready for take off now in the Apple App Store.

“I am just the first step in gaying up the iPhone,” said Pam Ann at this morning’s announcement in New York. “Now that the gays are in charge at Apple, its all systems homo. First, we’re glamourizing travel. Next, we will introduce mobile technology that lasers off unwanted body hair.”

Glamorous, hilarious and outrageous, Pucci-clad Pam has toured with Cher and crewed private jets for Elton John. Her live stage shows take passengers on a raucous flight journey from security check-in to take-off. Even Madonna is a fan, describing Pam as “cruelly funny”.

The Pam Ann City Guides is an app loaded with valuable information travelers can use including Pam Ann’s dining, hotel, and entertainment picks.

The app also includes original Pam Ann content: exclusive photos, videos and comedy sketches featuring the delightful characters that make up Pam Ann’s Global Alliance. There is even a flight etiquette section where Pam Ann offers her unique views, like “The golden rule of air travel for coach passengers is to shut up and speak only when spoken to and never, ever, make eye contact with the crew.”

Pam Ann is the alter ego of Australian comedienne Caroline Reid. “I have had such a wonderful time traveling the world and channeling those experiences into my stage and video performances,” says Reid. “I’m thrilled that my fans and friends can now put Pam Ann in their pockets and take her on their own travels.”

The Pam Ann City Guides will soon introduce apps for Germany, Turkey, Tel Aviv, Scandinavia and many more destinations.
