Guidelines for 25th Anniversary Lambda Literary Awards Submissions

Lambda Literary Foundation Press Release – The Lambda Literary Foundation is proud to kick off its 25th year with the opening of submissions for the Lambda Literary Awards, honoring the best in LGBT literature for 2012.

Trash, by Dorothy Allison. The Beautiful Room is Empty, by Edmund White. Borrowed Time: An AIDS Memoir by Paul Monette. These 1988 classics were among the books honored at the very first Lambda Literary Awards ceremony in Washington, DC.? Since that night, we have handed out over 500 Lammys in celebration of excellence in LGBT literature, and look forward to our next quarter century of recognizing work by, for and about the LGBT community.

In celebration of our 25th Anniversary, we’ve planned special events in several cities, including Los Angeles, San Francisco and New York.? Follow the news on our website, www.LambdaLiterary.org, and plan to join us in New York next spring for the Lambda Literary Awards extravaganza.

The revised guidelines appear on the LLF website.? They are effective immediately in preparation for the 25th Annual Lambda Literary Awards.
