Rufus Wainwright and J?rn Weisbrodt Call For Equality for Lesbian and Gay Binational Couples

American singer song-writer, Rufus Wainwright and his husband J?rn Weisbrodt speak out for the right of all lesbian and gay binational couples to live together in U.S.

Rufus and his longtime partner German Born, J?rn got engaged in November 2011 and married in New York State on August 23, 2012. they are the proud dads of ‘Viva Katherine Wainwright Cohen’ who was born on February 2, 2011 in Los Angeles, California

?When we married in New York State, we made a vow to be together and support each other for the rest of our lives.

In 50 years we will look back at this day as we look back at the 1967 legalization of inter-racial marriages in U.S.: with disbelief that it took this long to recognize equality.

Our vow should be protected by the federal government allowing binational couples like us a path to a green card.? – Rufus Wainwright and J?rn Weisbrodt
