Guest House Films Moves In With The Men Next Door
IndieGoGo Fundraising Campaign Offers Opportunities for Fan Involvement
with Company?s Sixth Feature Film
(LOS ANGELES ? MARCH 16, 2012) ? Leading gay film production house and distributor Guest House Films today announced the launch of pre-production on its sixth feature film ? a comedy titled The Men Next Door. The film will be written and directed by Rob Williams, and produced by Rodney Johnson and Williams. Production is expected to begin in late Spring/early Summer, and the movie will be distributed by Guest House Films after a film festival run.
The Men Next Door is a fast-paced comedy about a 40-year-old gay man who finds himself dating two equally lovable men – a secure 50-year-old who came out later in life, and an adventurous 30-year-old who wasn’t looking for a relationship. What he doesn’t find out right away is that the two men are, in fact, father and son.
?I love the idea of exploring the differences in dating two men from two different generations, but who have more in common than anyone involved realizes,? said Williams, co-founder of Guest House Films. ?Writing the script really made me excited to make a movie that will be a huge change of pace from anything we?ve done before, and I think our fans will love it.?
In conjunction with the pre-production announcement about its new film, Guest House Films today also launched an IndieGoGo crowd-sourced fundraising campaign for The Men Next Door, providing its fans with many opportunities to become a part of the filmmaking process.
?Our fans have been incredibly loyal to Guest House Films over the years, and we?re thrilled to be able to let them be a part of our new movie through the IndieGoGo campaign,? said Johnson, co-founder of Guest House Films. ?Once The Men Next Door is shot, we plan to push through post-production as quickly as possible in order to get the movie out to gay film festivals and to our fans, who motivate us every day with their support.?
The Men Next Door will be the sixth gay-themed feature film from production company Guest House Films, writer/director Rob Williams and producer Rodney Johnson.
