Daniel Radcliffe To Receive Trevor Project’s Hero Award

British actor Daniel Radcliffe will receive a hero award for his work with nonprofit organization The Trevor Project.

MTV News reports:

Since 2009, the 21-year-old has been involved with nonprofit organization the Trevor Project, a suicide-prevention/ support group geared toward gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and questioning teens. In recognition of Radcliffe’s awareness-raising efforts, he will soon take a break from his “Potter” promoting and Broadway duties to be presented with the organization’s Hero Award at the Trevor LIVE galaat Capitale in New York City on June 27.

“It’s fantastic,” Radcliffe said of the award. “The fact that they think of what I’ve done by promoting awareness of the Trevor Project itself and the issues that it works to promote and help is a great honor.”
