TRACI LORDS AND SEAN MAHER JOIN THE CAST OF LOGO ACQUIRED WEB SERIES “EASTSIDERS”

Series to Premiere on LogoTV.com on Tuesday, April 23rd at 4 PM ET/1 PM PT

Guest Stars Include Traci Lords, Sean Maher, Brea Grant, Stephen Guarino, and David Blue

LOS ANGELES, April 17, 2013 – LogoTV.com announced last week that it had secured the rights to the highly-anticipated web series “EastSiders,” a dark comedy about a gay couple struggling through the aftermath of infidelity in greater Los Angeles. Written and directed by award-winning playwright Kit Williamson, “EastSiders” is comprised of nine episodes, with the first three premiering Tuesday, April 23rd at 4pm ET on LogoTV.com and new episodes posting each Tuesday at 4 PM ET.

When Cal (Kit Williamson) finds out Thom (Van Hansis) has been cheating on him with Jeremy (Matthew McKelligon), their relationship is turned upside down. Cal’s best friend Kathy (Constance Wu) is always there for him with a bottle of whiskey in her purse, but she has her own problems with her nice guy boyfriend Ian (John Halbach), even if they’re all in her head. Will the lies tear them apart or are they just stubborn enough to stay together forever?  Drunken outbursts and double standards abound in this dark comedy about the sad and funny messes we make out of our lives.

Gay Icon Traci Lords (“Cry Baby,” “Zack and Miri Make a Porno,” “Devil May Call”) guest stars in episode 4 as Cal’s outspoken mother Val. Out gay actor Sean Maher (“Firefly,” “The Playboy Club,” and the upcoming Joss Wheedon adaptation of “Much Ado About Nothing,”) has a recurring role as Paul, a handsome gallery owner. Brea Grant (“Heroes,” “Dexter”) guest stars in episode 5 as the show’s first lesbian character, Jeremy’s sister Bri. Stephen Guarino, whose other work includes three seasons of Logo’s “The Big Gay Sketch Show,” returns as the eccentric party promoter Quincy. He can most recently be seen playing the role of Derrick in “Happy Endings” on ABC and will appear as on the new NBC series “The Gates.” David Blue (“Stargate Universe,” “Ugly Betty”) guest stars in episode 6 as David, a love interest for Quincy.

Kit Williamson (Series Creator/Cal) began his career on Broadway, acting in the Tony-Nominated revival of “Talk Radio.” He appeared in the indie film “Best Friends Forever” which premiered at Slamdance in 2013 and can be seen this season as copywriter Ed Gifford on AMC’s hit drama “Mad Men.” As a playwright, he was awarded the Playwrights First Award by The National Arts Club. Other credits include “Numb3rs,” “Death Valley” and the hit web series “Hipsterhood.”

Van Hansis (Thom) has been nominated for three daytime Emmies for his portrayal of Luke Snyder in famed CBS soap opera “As the World Turns.” Other film and TV credits include “Nikita,” “The Mentalist,” “Psych,” and the feature films “Occupant” and “Devil May Call.”

“EastSiders” is written and directed by Kit Williamson and produced by Chrissy Dodson, John Halbach, Kristyne Elizabeth Fetsic, Jonathan Stahl, Jaz Moore and Beth Wheatley.
