X Factor star Lucy Spraggan, 20, came out as a lesbian when she was 14. The singer-songwriter revealed that her mum has known for a while about her sexuality and has no problems with it. Spraggan who is currently single told The Daily Mirror that she hopes the show will help her to find a girlfriend!

X Factor sensation Lucy Spraggan’s mum was delighted to learn she was gay, the singer revealed last night.
But Lucy, who came out aged 14, says her grandad only realised she was attracted to girls when he read it on online.
“My mum loves gay people, she thinks she’s part of the cool club now,” said Lucy. “But grandad only found out I was gay on Google.”
And single girl Lucy hopes her new fame might make it easier to find a girlfriend.
She said: “X Factor must do wonders for your love life. Girls do love girls with guitars.”
