‘The New Normal’ hits back at One Million Moms

Ryan Murphy’s new comedy, The New Normal, hits back at the anti-gay group One Million Moms.

The group who often attacks The show for “for subjecting families to the decay of morals and values and the sanctity of marriage in attempting to redefine marriage.” received some exposure during last night’s episode.

Synopsis:
On last night’s episode of the NBC comedy “The New Normal,” entitled “Bryanzilla” Shania (Bebe Wood) announces that she and her classmate are “pretend” engaged and are going to hold an imaginary wedding. Thrilled with the idea of the upcoming nuptials, Bryan (Andrew Rannells) enlists the help of a reluctant Rocky (NeNe Leakes) and dives head first into planning the event of the season. Goldie (Georgia King) supports her daughter’s fairy tale, but Jane (Ellen Barkin) attempts to shut down the ceremony. Later, David (Justin Bartha) discovers just how important this party is for Bryan and he makes a life-changing decision.

Watch clips from last night episode:

Jane recruits some conservative young minds to put a stop to Shania’s pretend wedding. She calls the little girls “Future One Million Moms” they delivered some right-wing talking points such as “Marriage is between Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve,” and “Gay marriage is currently legal in six states. My mom says that’s six too many.”

Bryan may be taking his wedding planning responsibilites for Shania’s fake wedding a little too seriously.

David makes a very romantic gesture and proposes to Bryan!
