TLC “Undercover Princes” follows royalty on the pursuit of love as three single princes from around the world go undercover as locals in the UK in hopes of finding their true love to take back to their kingdom.
Among the princes is Prince Manvendra of Rajpipla, 46 who comes from one of India’s richest royal families; he shocked the world when he became the first Indian royal to come out as gay.
TLC’s Undercover Princes and Undercover Princesses explore what it’s like to have everything in the world except true love. The series follow royalty on the pursuit of love, as three single princes and princesses from around the world go undercover as locals in the UK in hope of finding true love. To meet people, they’ll exhaust all options: hitting the bars and clubs, signing up for Internet dating sites, and speed dating.
During their quest for true love, the princesses will share a house in Essex, an area known for its party scene. Meanwhile, the princes will live together in a townhouse in Brighton, an area steeped in royal heritage with a higher-than-average number of singles.
The princes and princesses will ditch their fleets of servants and be forced to cook, clean, and shop for themselves. To maximize their chances of finding dates, the royals will also be working everyday jobs including cleaning hotels, waiting tables, and bartending.
Watch Undercover Princes Jan. 31 @ 10/9c, and tune in Feb.28 @ 10/9c for the premiere of Undercover Princesses.
