Gay Polo League Press Release – April 10th, 2012. Wellington, FL – The Third Annual International Gay Polo Tournament will be bigger and better than ever this year. Tailgaters will enjoy the expanded capacity on both sides of the field this year. Tailgate sales have been brisk, with only a few spots remaining. A great new feature this year is food and beverage tents on both sides of the field for all ticket holders to enjoy. MARA has joined the mix to provide a space to enjoy a bite and toast to great polo with friends.
According to MARA founding partner, Rodney Brigulio, he was unaware of the event, ”A few people that have gone to the event asked us if we were going. I googled it and immediately contacted Mason Phelps to find out more. ”
MARA is an event production, catering and consulting business in Lake Worth. They operate out of a huge space that hosts the Lounge at MARA, a bistro and night spot that welcomes everyone and has a predominately gay audience on Saturday nights.
Brigulio worked in catering for Ritz Carlton before founding MARA with partners, Michelle Nowosatko and Richard Andicott, a high profile private chef and caterer who made his mark on South Beach. “We bought two tailgates to the Gay Polo Tournament, then they asked us if we wanted to do a food and beverage tent. We are thrilled. It gives us an opportunity to showcase our services and give back to the community.”
MARA plans to serve gourmet sliders, vegetable skewers and Three Olives Vodka Sno Cones in multiple flavors, including cola, grape, cherry, bubble gum and dude (Mountain Dew flavor).
“We are going to create a retro lounge, complete with furniture. We want everyone to come by and check us out!” shared Brigulio. “Then we will pour the champagne for the traditional divot stomp.”
The Third Annual International Gay Polo Tournament promises to deliver a festive and unforgettable day to enjoy friends and polo. Contact us for tailgates and tickets.
