Bethany College men’s golfers have been suspended for posing nude in risque calendar photos and post them on Facebook.

Bethany College’s golf coach says his team is good enough to overcome a three-meet suspension after a suggestive photo of the team appeared on Facebook.
The Lindsborg, Kan., school imposed the punishment after 15 players posed nude, their privates hidden by golf clubs, and posted the picture on Facebook. The players were identified as members of the Swedes golf team.
Athletic director and golf coach Jon Daniels says the most important part of the episode is the lesson his players will learn about how their decisions affect others. Two of the three tournaments the team is suspended for were on the same day.
Daniels says the media has barely noticed his team’s high team grade-point average, generous community service and 11 conference titles in the past 15 years. Daniels said the team was inspired by similar photos in Sports Illustrated and Golf Digest of the UCLA men’s golf team.
