NEW YORK CITY SINGER MIASHA RELEASES DEBUT SINGLE “EVERYBODY’S BEAUTIFUL”

Up-and-coming New York City singer Miasha is ready to make a big first impression with her debut single “Everybody’s Beautiful”, available today on the MAF Music imprint. Co-produced by The Tracklacers (Lana Del Rey, Pink) and The Force, the song is a wildly anthemic and empowering dance-pop track that’s an excellent introduction to Miasha’s incredibly soulful, resonant voice. The song’s huge hook is centered on an uplifting sentiment that appeals to people from all walks of life.
“‘Everybody’s Beautiful’ is about owning who you are with confidence,” says Miasha. “We can’t always be perfect. We can’t always please everyone around us, but if we celebrate our authentic selves, everybody is beautiful just as they are.”

Miasha — a product not just of NYC’s diverse club culture but also of prestigious music & arts schools The American Musical & Dramatic Academy and The Manhattan School of Music — has been working toward this moment for quite some time. Studying opera for years yet drawn to such influences as Chaka Khan, Annie Lennox and Nina Simone, her turning point was a trip to Burning Man.
“I went to the desert at a time of great confusion when I was facing a lot of personal tragedy,” she explains. “At the festival there was a temple where you could write anything you wanted on a wall. The temple is lit ablaze and everyone’s wishes rise with the smoke. I wrote asking for strength and direction. And as I watched the temple burn, the visual of the wall coming down was like a slap in the face that left me stunned and suddenly centered. I knew I had to sing again.”
Miasha then entered a period of rigorous training to heighten her vocal technique. Soon after, she hooked up with a group of experienced producers and songwriters, working on original songs, with the infectious “Everybody’s Beautiful” as the first born.
The video for “Everybody’s Beautiful” is currently being helmed by acclaimed director and visual artist P.R. Brown (Alicia Keys, Smashing Pumpkins, Prince) and is slated to debut in September. Remixes of the song are expected to hit clubs around the same time.
Miasha continues working on new material for her forthcoming debut album. She’ll soon announce a slate of live performances in and around New York with national touring to follow.
