[New York, NY – July 17, 2012] Singer-songwriter-musician ELLE VARNER is set to strike the perfect chord with the long awaited release of her debut album, PERFECTLY IMPERFECT, on August 7, 2012 (MBK/RCA Records). Elle first sparked attention with the release of her infectious lead single “Only Wanna Give It To You” featuring Grammy Award nominee J. Cole. The accompanying vibrant video hit #1 on BET’s 106 & Park, accumulated over 3 million views online, and instantly earned Elle “Artist to Watch in 2012” claims by Teen Vogue and PopCrush.com among others. Recognizing her talents from the onset, Elle was featured in the heavily sought after MTV Buzzworthy, BET’s Music Matters and Centric’s Centric Selects campaigns.
Elle’s undercurrent single, the inspiring “So Fly,” was honored with a “Body Peace” award from Seventeen magazine as it became an anthem for teen girls dealing with self-esteem and image issues.
Accolades continued to increase for the 23 year-old as her latest hit single “Refill” kicked off as the #1 most added single at urban mainstream radio and reached Top 10 status. “‘Refill’ successfully positions Varner as the latest fresh face in mainstream R&B and displays her talents in Technicolor” says Billboard.
