Electro Pop & Dance Duo FUJIYAMABIT

A mix of Electro Pop & Dance, music that arises from images and visual influences… This is the Fujiyamabit, the crew from Florence who uses music as an antidote to gloom.

The band born during the high school period, when Theo & Roberto were part of the volleyball team. Time later they increasingly focus on music and during the spare time they experimented and created their first sounds. They studied and improved and finally created the group named Galaxy Groove; a very “retro’” name to highlight their vintage, blatantly artificial and kitsch sound.

The two guys are put under contract in 1999 by Dance Work of Milan (an independent label specializing in the production of artists of dance music).

Many of the ‘insider’ of the label are more interested in the image of the two boys than in their music and after several tours in the Italian clubs and collaborations with DJs and artists such as Leda Battisti and Billy More the cooperation with the label cracked up to stop.

Undaunted, Theo & Roberto continued creating and working with independent DJs up till the meeting with DJ Andrea Mili, who caught them a new cooperation with the DJ & Producer Leonardo Gonnelli‘s Mill Beats Record. After a few months they rose again as Fujiyamabit.

A new image a new communication and a new message.

An irresistible mix of samples, beats, verbal acrobatics, infectious chorus, delay and reverb, a synthetic fresh sound to dream, to escape.

Singing in Italian shows a big difference from the past, as witness to their renewal, the themes are quite various, the atmosphere changed to reach the very far hemispheres of their “world”.

Their first album is ready….FUJIYAMABIT VOLUME UNO an album with double soul, sung half in English and half in Italian includes pop and romantic songs and electro dance tracks. A double sided, a double message, a double sound, a double reason to listen…
