OSVALDO SUPINO: THE NEW VIDEO “MANNEQUINZ”
After 12 teasers bringing anticipation on the web to a fever pitch, Osvaldo Supino at last releases the new video for his current single, “Mannequinz.”
Directed by Roberto Chierici, the production took five days to shoot in six different locations in Milan, and resulted in a clip that keeps up the singer’s glossy image and high standards with a funny, attention-getting story line to boot.
An explosive mixture of references to and quotes from the Pop world, the video starts with a self-deprecating segment in a car with Osvaldo, his brother Giovanni Pio and his dog Jack, and ends up in a crazy chase involving a drag queen and a summer party that’s so colorful, it could have fallen out of a piñata!
The video follows the “Here I Am” Tour that led Osvaldo to perform for the first time across Europe and, especially significantly, in London’s Trafalgar Square for World Pride — making him the first Italian performer ever to play that stage (in front of 35,000 people).
“Mannequinz” is the latest single from Osvaldo’s “Here I Am” EP (and the first from his “Golden & Remixed” revamp). It was written and produced by Christian Rabb, Kristoffer Sjokvist, Frida Molander and Charlie Mason, whose collective credits include everyone from Boa to Miley Cyrus.
In just the last two years, Osvaldo has become the most searched and clicked Italian artist on the web, with four singles and an EP in the iTunes Top 10, No. 1s on YouTube five times, and a new record set as the only Italian artist ever nominated four times for BT Digital Music Awards. On top of all that, Osvaldo Supino has more than 100,000 active users every month visiting his official site: osvaldosupino.com
