Father Tiger shines a light on marriage equality with the music video for “First Love,” an upbeat summer track with a positive message and twist ending. Directed by Michael Medico, the music video embodies tolerance and the fight for equality all the way down to the supporters who helped create the video; over fifty people donated their time and services, and the venue used contributed their fee to the Gay and Lesbian Center of Los Angeles. Partial proceeds from “First Love” will go towards organizations such as Freedom to Marry, American Foundation for Equal Rights and Lambda Legal.

L.A.-based Father Tiger is an indie revival pop group consisting of Greg Delson and John Russell. Since discovering their own unique sound in 2005 while attending audio engineering school, Father Tiger continues the expedition with a 4-EP project entitled Equinox and Solstice. Releasing an EP every season throughout the past year, Father Tiger recently released the third in the series, Summer Solstice, an EP of covers available now. The band’s 4-EP project comes to an end this September with the release of the Autumnal Equinox EP. The full-length album Equinox and Solstice will arrive in time for the 2013 holiday season, tying all four parts (and seasons) of the project together – Winter Solstice, Vernal Equinox, Summer Solstice, and Autumnal Equinox.
