CandyGram.ca Flash Mob at Pacific Center Vancouver
Becoming an annual tradition, the CandyGram.ca video is shot with a unique format each year, always on a zero budget relying on the support of extremely generous, volunteers, donors and members of the community.
All proceeds from CandyGram.ca go to support the work of A Loving Spoonful (alovingspoonful.org) in providing ready-made nutritious meals for men, women and children living with HIV/AIDS.
This years video took the form of a Flash Mob in the heavily trafficed food court of Pacific Center in downtown Vancouver, Canada. Choreographed with exceptional precision by Tyrell Witherspoon (tyrellwitherspoon.com) and featuring the Division 5 class of Strathcona Elementary, located in the famed Lower Eastside of Vancouver’s downtown, dancing alongside some of the city’s best professionals, public notice was immediately spotted by the crowd which quickly formed and the soon after mentions on Twitter.
Wholly created to drive awareness of A Loving Spoonful’s CandyGram campaign, the video was edited within 12 hours of the Flash Mob’s occurence to be online the following morning.
