Sunshine Coast Destination has been criticised for doing nothing to attract the thousands of Mardi Gras revellers who want to unwind following the annual two-week event, which concludes tomorrow.
Critics of SCD’s snubbing of this niche market say a great chance to give the tourism industry a boost is being missed.
University of the Sunshine Coast advertising lecturer Kelly Choong said yesterday that the SCD and tourism operators should be doing more to get into this market.
