Prague Debuts New Gay Travelers Map

Gay travel has been an expanding niche of the industry for years. Prague is now taking their attempts to attract gay and lesbian tourists with a new map of the city.

The map looks like your basic tourist map: the city center is marked with the most important sights, complete with brief descriptions of Prague Castle, Charles Bridge and other mainstays. Also included is map of the metro, locations of tourist information centers, important telephone numbers and other services. On the back, though, is a list of gay-friendly establishments, divided by category: Day Life, Night Life, Gay Club and Gay Friendly.

?Homosexuals are a very active group of tourists,? said Lucie Ramnebornova, the director of Prague Information Service. ?We believe that Prague has a lot to offer them; therefore, we decided to publish a map designed especially for them, so that they do not feel lost here.
