Going Down In LALA Land To Open In Los Angeles At Chinese Theatres

The multiawardwinning film will open at Hollywood?s Chinese Theatres on May 18th, 2012.

New York, NY ? April 4, 2012 ? Embrem Entertainment and award?winning filmmaker Casper Andreas are proud to announce the Los Angeles theatrical release of Going Down in LALA Land on May 18th, 2012 at Hollywood?s iconic Chinese Theatres. The film festival hit will kick off its theatrical release with a New York opening on April 20th. Gravitas Ventures will release the film on video?on?demand on June 5th, with a home video release by Embrem Entertainment to follow.

?I?m thrilled to be opening at the Chinese Theatres! The film tells the quintessential Hollywood story, so it is so exciting to open it at a Los Angeles landmark, right in the heart of Tinseltown,? said Andreas, who wrote, produced, and directed the film.

Andreas has also started a Kickstarter campaign to help fund the release of the film. Fans and followers can go to http://kck.st/zHrwkl or search ?Release Going Down in LALA Land? at Kickstarter.com to pledge their support and receive rewards like VIP tickets to the red?carpet premiere and after?party, signed DVD packages, private screenings, producer?s credits, etc. Andreas remarked, ?The Kickstarter campaign is a great way for people to get involved in the process of releasing a feature film.?

Based on the novel by Andy Zeffer, Going Down in LALA Land is a candid, sexy, outrageously funny look at what an aspiring actor can ? and will ? do to make it in Hollywood. The multi?award winning film has captivated (and tantalized!) audiences and critics across the globe. Winning the audience awards for Best Film at festivals in Barcelona, Brussels, and across the United States, this ?sharp?edged satire about naked ambition? (The Philadelphia Inquirer) is ?a polished, entertaining look at biz realities from a gay perspective?well?crafted and diverting throughout? (Variety).
