Eddie Campbell releases new book ‘44 Horrible Dates‘
A witty collection of tales that describe his most memorable dating escapades.
Campbell’s humor and twist on reality is not to be missed!
Los Angeles native and current resident Eddie Campbell has been the art director or working in the art department for popular shows like Dawson’s Creek, The Closer, MADTV, and Days of Our Lives. Campbell is a lucky man for many reasons. His dating life is not one of them.
Campbell has been on more terrible dates than entire villages. Now, for our amusement, our intrepid dater relates his most hilarious, unbelievable dates in 44 Horrible Dates, ranging from the guy who immediately farted upon entering his car to the guy who drove him to a fast-food burger joint (Eddie is a vegetarian) before admitting he was high on cocaine.
It’s all going well until…
“His breath smelled like he had licked a public toilet from a truck stop. I tried to ignore it. All through dinner I kept thinking how bad his breath was and wondering if he had a missing tooth or decay. I knew I could never kiss him without gagging.”
Gotta get away…
“So here I was, [a vegetarian] at the In-N-Out Burger drive-thru line, with a guy who was forty-five minutes late for our date, with a cocaine high in full effect, and driving me around. So I did what anyone with no common sense and no plan, but a lot of pride and self-esteem, would do. I got out of the car and started walking down Sunset Boulevard.”
Told in a witty, R-rated style similar to Chelsea Handler, Campbell’s stories will make readers realize that no matter how bad their dating life is, at least they don’t have it as bad as he does!
44 Horrible Dates has been optioned by One Light Productions, Inc./James Van Praagh, Producer, Ghost Whisperer.
