NEW YORK – OCTOBER 24, 2012 – Get ready to work, hunty! So Much Drama Studios, the company behind the hit game Fireflies! is stirring up the gaming field with Dragopolis, a one-of-a-kind app that spices up the endless runner game genre with a new kind of heroine. Dragopolis will be available for free download on iTunes for iOS devices on November 14, 2012. An Android version of the game will be released later in 2012.

Dragopolis is a fantabulous adventure starring a drag queen fighting for the spotlight, as they often do. Users must get our heroine to the nightclub to reclaim her title as Queen of Dragopolis by jumping and clawing her way past increasingly difficult fierce minions of the evil drag queen Apocalypstyk, all while serving up new looks for the paparazzi! Along the way players can customize their ferocious drag character with sickening wigs, outfits, and even their own face.

“I’ve been a huge fan of drag performers for years,” said Jeff Meador of So Much Drama Studios. “The whole genre has such a bold style that really resonates with me. There’s a humor, bawdiness, and theatricality to drag that I just love. Putting drag queens in a game like Dragopolis is a natural fit. You haven’t seen a game like this before – from and for the LGBT community.”

The game is a free download; for 99 cents each, gamers can recruit celebrity drag queens Pandora BoxxYara Sofia or Peaches Christ for a whole new adventure. Pandora Boxx and Yara Sofia come fresh from scene-stealing RuPaul’s Drag Race and can be seen on the current season of RuPaul’s Drag Race: All Stars, airing on LOGO TV now, while Peaches Christ is a self-proclaimed “bona-fide direct descendant of Jesus” and Bay Area superstar queen with a cult following that reaches across the whole country.
