John Feinblatt & Jonathan Mintz had a beautiful wedding ceremony officiated by New York city Mayor Mike Bloomberg.

At Gracie Mansion, John Feinblatt and Jonathan Mintz wed amid laughs during a lighthearted ceremony officiated by Mayor Michael Bloomberg. The 15-minute outdoor wedding was full of jokes, and the mayor warned that couple, both senior members of his staff, will have to put their honeymoon on hold due to the looming federal budget crisis.
Bloomberg, who with Sunday?s ceremony became the first city mayor to wed a same-sex couple, was clearly pleased.
?Two people who loved each other dearly came together and pledged their loves to each other,? he said. ?I?m really glad that I asked to be a part of it.
?It has taken the state a long time to recognize what you two have known instinctively,? Bloomberg said during the ceremony, addressing the newlyweds, who have been together for 14 years. ?And today, surrounded by family and friends, you are making history.?
