We are among the fortunate/unfortunate same-sex couples to have fallen in love despite being from different countries. This is the story of us being together for the holiday. We have been together nearly a year, on different continents, despite embassy problems, border questioning, denying our relationship, a visa denial, transatlantic flights, and late night phone calls.
