
Guest House Films To Release Award-Winning Comedy
The Men Next Door on DVD Dec. 11
(LOS ANGELES – SEPT. 5, 2012) – Guest House Films, a leading producer and distributor of gay-themed films, today announced the DVD release of its latest hit comedy,The Men Next Door, on Dec. 11 in the United States and Canada.
Written and directed by Rob Williams and produced by Rodney Johnson and Williams,The Men Next Door has a running time of 84 minutes, and the DVD has a suggested retail price of $24.99. The DVD’s special features are scheduled to include a commentary with Williams and cast members; behind-the-scenes footage and interviews; bloopers; deleted scenes; and trailers.
In the comedy, Eric Dean (Nine Lives, Arizona Sky) plays Doug, a 40-year-old gay man who finds himself dating two very different men – 50-year-old Jacob (Michael Nicklin) and 30-year-old Colton (Benjamin Lutz - Bite Marks, The Love Patient). What Doug doesn’t learn right away is that the two equally lovable men are, in fact, father and son. The film also features Mark Cirillo (The Seminarian), Christopher Schram (Requited), Devon Michael Jones and Heidi Rhodes.
The sixth feature film from Guest House Films, The Men Next Door has proven to be extremely popular at its initial film festival screenings. The film won the Audience Award for Best Men’s Feature at the 2012 North Carolina Gay and Lesbian Film Festival, and was named a Festival Favorite based on audience balloting and requests at Philadelphia QFest 2012. Some of the movie’s upcoming screenings include the Outflix Film Festival in Memphis on Sept. 8; the Pittsburgh Lesbian and Gay Film Society quarterly screening series on Sept. 23; the Fort Lauderdale Gay & Lesbian Film Festival on Oct. 5; and the Tampa International Gay & Lesbian Film Festival on Oct. 6.
