Conor Marron and James Lattimore launched “Coalition for Equal Marriage” an online petition website to support the right of two people in love to get married, regardless of gender. It’s only fair.
The Shields Gazette has the story:
A GAY couple have hit back at those campaigners who say marriage should be between a man and a woman only.
Conor Marron and James Lattimore launched their online petition, Coalition for Equal Marriage, to counter one set up by a group of individuals and organisations in the UK – called the Coalition for Marriage – who say they support traditional marriage and oppose any plans to redefine it.
Mr Marron, 29, from Hebburn, and his partner of five years, Mr Lattimore, 32, a freelance web designer, support the right for two people who are in love to get married, no matter what their gender or sexual orientation.
The law in the UK at the moment allows a same-sex couple to have a civil partnership, which gives them the same rights as a married couple, but not the same titles.
